My Unplugged Living a Foundational Well-being, and Hydroponics Mastery
As of August 3rd, I’m embarking on a deeply personal 3-month journey. This isn’t just about setting goals; it’s about embracing “Unplugged Living & Foundational Well-being” and diving into the fascinating world of “Hydroponics Mastery.” It’s a commitment to intentional disconnection, cultivating robust daily habits, and exploring new avenues for growth.
Digital Disconnection & Intentional Use
For me, this means a conscious uncoupling from the digital “noise”. I’ll be physically disconnecting devices, simplifying my phone’s landscape by turning off non-essential notifications, organizing my home screen, and establishing clear phone-free times and zones. A significant step in this direction is removing all social media from my phone. My website, www.livingprocess.ca/, will remain a touchstone, with dedicated time every second week for updates and reflections.
Movement & Mindfulness
My body and mind will be my focus. My workout rhythm will be three days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) dedicated to strength, utilizing my 25 lb and 15 lb kettlebells, 15 lb dumbbells, and rowing machine. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays will be for embracing the flow of Yoga With Adriene, starting with her beginner-friendly content. Daily basic mindfulness meditation and gentle 15-60 minute walks most days will ground my routine.
Nourishment
My vegan approach to nourishment will be streamlined. I’m simplifying by mastering a few go-to building blocks, embracing the versatility of bowl meals and deconstructed concepts, focusing on 5-7 staple meals, and practicing smart shopping and storage to minimize waste.
Hydroponics Mastery
This quarter, I’m excited to lay the groundwork for my hydroponics journey. It’s about understanding the fundamentals, setting up a few small systems, and celebrating the success of my very first greens. Key areas I’ll be exploring include:
* Nutrient Management: Delving into the world of essential nutrient solutions, understanding how to monitor pH levels, and managing EC/PPM for optimal plant health.
* Environmental Control: Recognizing the critical role of water temperature and appropriate lighting in fostering thriving growth.
This 3-month period is a dedicated step towards a deeper sense of well-being, a more present and engaged life, and the rewarding experience of cultivating my own food through hydroponics. It’s a process, and I’m ready for the journey.
Wish me luck on this exciting adventure! What are some of your goals for foundational well-being or sustainable living? I’d love to hear them in the comments below.
